Finding inspiration from the world around him, second generation painter John Lee (Williamsburg, VA) is able to find something interesting in the drabbest of places. Portsmouth Community Concerts Presents: The Kat Trio

Location: Churchland High School

Classical and popular music clarinet-violin piano trio The Kat Trio was originally known as the Ekaterinburg Classic Trio. Musicians Vasil Galiulin, Victoria Gorbich and Vladislav Gorbich, all graduates of the URAL Sate Conservatory, formed the trio in Ekaterinburg, Russia during the summer of 1998.

They shared a common desire to perform and share their passion for this unusual instrumentation. Performances during that formational summer were enthusiastically recede, and the ensemble was born.

The Trio embarked on their first United States tour in 2000, Victoria and Vladislav, husband and wife, returned to the U.S. for post-graduate studies at Arizona State University, with additional national tours in 206 and 2010.
