Whose Space is it? The Sacred Kotel

4 PM - The most famous, indeed, the iconic-Jewish outdoor worship space is the "Kotel" the western retaining wall of the Temple Mount in Jerusalem. Long a focus of Jewish longing, this wall has become the most sacred worship space in the Jewish world. But controversies surround the utilization of the Kotel. Should segregation of the sexes continue? Should women be allowed to don prayer shawls and hold the Torah at the Kotel? May no-Orthodox modes of worship coexist?

With Rabbi Lucy Dinner.

Presented by the Jewish Museum & Cultural Center, 607 Effingham St.
